Siren, 2026

35 x 96 cm, oil on wood (found window), 2026

Sirens once were winged creatures, situated on mountains - they were deformed by Christians from the 4th century onwards: a siren came to bear a dangerous resemblance to the depiction of an angel. Cast down from the heavens into the water, these female creatures up to this day are still renowned for their sensually intoxicating song.
