In the creative process, I constantly negotiate the space between material and perception. Therefore, the installation of the works is also process of their creation: in the studio, the objects extend beyond the walls and floor and influence the emerging work through their surface and form.

Intimate observations are translated and shaped into glyphs, which, in their multitude, refer to each other and continue a story. Forms and bodies peel themselves out of what constitutes their own surface. A surface that can be reflective, light-absorbing, matted, or dusty like an artifact.

Color powder on raw cotton, mixed with oil or water, fused fragments in glass, and the “burnt earth” of ceramics – in these “passive stimuli,” the tactile sensation reaches beyond the visual impression.
