Lena Melis Koneberg

i am a German-born artist of German-Turkish descent who works with painting, ceramics and glass. My work emerges from memory and my own archive of objects, exploring fragmented figuration, memory and the poetic potential of materials. It is characterised by a deep sensitivity to place and environment. Since moving to Venice in 2023, I have honed my observational skills and ability to adapt to new contexts. I allow my surroundings to inform my work by carefully collecting materials, experimenting with and translating them. This responsiveness to space and environment lies at the heart of my creative process, influencing the way images, objects, and forms interact.
